This game was a prototype for the game design class.
This was the result of a lot of iterating.
I made a handful of small prototypes after which I decided that the idea that lead to Disconnected was the most promising.
I polished this prototype enough to make something that I am proud to show on my portfolio.
You can give the game a try right here.
To create the props there was a pipeline I followed.
Firstly I made a High poly model, from which I derived a low poly model.
Then I baked the high poly mesh into a normal map that I used on the low poly model.
Then after texturing via substance painter I achieved this result.
Looking close up you definitely see the polies, but since in the game the distance from the camera to the objects is relatively large,
the low poly aesthetic is not visible.
This was also the first time I experimented with shaders.
This is a simple one I made to represent Lava. This is something obvious enough so the player knows not to go in there.
